What this article helps you do

Use the built-in Events section on your Snappy Kraken website to:

• Add an upcoming event
• Edit an existing event
• Save an event as a draft or submit it for publication

Adding an upcoming event activates the Events page and lets visitors see upcoming and past events.

Before you begin

• Sign in to your website editor.
• Confirm the name of your Events page. The section in the left-hand menu may use a custom label instead of Events.
• If your website uses a Broker-Dealer compliance workflow, updates must be approved before they appear on the live website.

How it works

Events are managed from My Content in the website editor. Each event can be saved with one of the following statuses:

• Draft: Saves your changes without making them live.
• Published: Publishes the event to the live website.
• Needs Review: Submits the event to your Broker-Dealer’s compliance workflow. The event will go live after approval.

How to do it

Add an upcoming event

1. Select My Content from the left-hand menu.
2. Select Events.
   • Important: This section may have a different label. Select the label that matches the title of your Events page.
3. Select Add New.
4. Enter the event details in the corresponding fields.
5. Choose a status:
   • Select Draft to save your progress without making the event live.
   • Select Published to publish the event.
   • Select Needs Review if your website uses a Broker-Dealer compliance workflow.

Edit an existing event

1. Select My Content from the left-hand menu.
2. Select Events.
   • Important: This section may have a different label. Select the label that matches the title of your Events page.
3. Find the event you want to update.
4. Select Edit beside the event.
5. Make your changes.
6. Choose a status:
   • Select Draft to save your progress without making the changes live.
   • Select Published to publish the changes.
   • Select Needs Review if your website uses a Broker-Dealer compliance workflow.

What happens next

• Draft events remain unpublished until their status is changed.
• Published events appear on the live website.
• Events marked Needs Review are sent through the Broker-Dealer compliance workflow and appear on the live website after approval.

Troubleshooting

• You cannot find Events: Look for a section whose label matches the title of your Events page.
• Your changes are not live: Check whether the event is still a draft or waiting for compliance approval.
• The Events page is not visible: Add and publish an upcoming event to activate the page.

When to contact Support

Contact Support if:

• You cannot find the Events section or its custom label.
• You cannot add or edit an event.
• An approved or published event does not appear on the live website.
