- This is the website address(www.example.com). As it suggests, this is your name on the internet and how people get to know you. This is normally provided by companies like GoDaddy or Network Solutions.
- Does Advisor Websites host my domain?
- No, we only host your website. That is, we store, build and display your website using our platform. Think of this as your phone number that people will use to reach you. However, your domain name is hosted by a separate company such as GoDaddy.
- What is DNS?
- DNS (Domain Name System) - is how we connect your website to your domain name. Think of it as the phonebook where people can look up your name and find your phone number. These are usually set up within your domain name provider.
- Can you help me set up my email address/MX records as well?
- Unfortunately, we cannot help you with this. As we do not provide your email services, we may not have the right information or knowledge to make this update for you. It would be best to contact your IT team.
- I don’t have access to my domain provider’s dashboard. What should I do?
- Please contact your domain provider’s support team to gain access to your account with them. ‘
- I don’t know who my domain provider is. How can I find out?

- I logged in to my domain provider dashboard, but I can’t find or edit my DNS records.
- Domain names can also be set up to point away from their own system and to a DNS provider instead. If this is the case for you, you will need to contact your IT team and they should be able to add these records for you.
- There are also cases where the domain providers don’t provide access to DNS settings. Reach out to the domain provider’s support team to gain access.

- Do I need to cancel my old website or is that something you will do?
- You will need to cancel your previous website once your new website is live with us. We do not cancel any previous subscriptions on your behalf. We recommend canceling them after the new website with us has gone live to avoid downtime.
